Nestled at the edge of the Texas hill county, historic Ruby Ranch Lodge was a perfect setting for Jennifer and Chris’ wonderful outdoor wedding.

You know it’s going to be a fun day when the groom, groomsmen and bride have this much character.

Buda Wedding Ceremony

One of the iconic (and one of our favorite) things about central Texas are the live oak trees. Their towing canopies give outdoor spaces the feeling of a cathedral. They made the perfect roof for Chris and Jennifer’s outdoor wedding ceremony.

With the ceremony ending around blue hour, we knocked out some quick formal portraits around the property.

Ruby Ranch Lodge has a done of great portrait locations. We always love taking advantage of a classic vehicle, whether it is pristine or rough. All the festoon lights create a wonderful glow after the sun goes down.

Ruby Ranch Lodge Wedding Reception

Ruby Ranch Lodge is built like a log cabin on the inside. It’s got a wonderful warm rustic feel.

“Not Pictures,” Jennifer loves her Dachshund and is an animal lover. In fact, we met her through my wife when she worked at the vet clinic. If you can’t bring the dachshund to the wedding, at least you can feature him prominently as part of your cake topper along side a selection of tiny tarts, cup-cakes and pies.

With all the official items out of the way, the it was time to party. The bride slipped into a less formal dress and everyone kicked back and hit the dance floor. With such a carefree crowd, it was a log of fun to witness (and photograph).

Ruby Ranch Lodge wedding reception over, Chris and Jennifer headed out to live happily ever after!

Josh Baker

Josh loves a good adventure and some of his favorite wedding and engagement shoots have involved “getting crazy” or going somewhere special to the couple.

Josh is a Texas native and long time Pflugerville resident. He started his photography business in 2009 and has never looked back. His photo business even allowed him to be daddy-day-care before his two sons reached school age. Over the years his business has expanded to include just about every type of photography including automotive, editorial portraits, corporate events, sports and food. Through it all, he has continued to love wedding photography for genuine moment, the fast pace and the diversity of subjects it offers. Josh is a co-founder of North Austin Pfoutographic Society and a resident instructor at Precision Camera & Video in Austin, Tx.

Nancy and Jose were married at the beautiful St. Stephen Catholic Church in Salado, TX. The ceremony was traditional and elegant. The couple was poised and full of smiles, beaming at one another as the officiant addressed them, as well as their family and friends.

From the moment they stepped through the threshold, it changed from the traditional and spiritual Catholic ceremony to an all-out celebration. The freshly wed couple and their guests made their way to gorgeous Tenroc Ranch to begin the festivities. There were beautiful, emotional dances but things really got interesting during the bouquet toss and the blindfolded garter toss. The couple was lifted off their feet, carried around by their wedding party and after a few minutes of the festive (and potentially dangerous!) ring around the couple, the game ended with lots of laughter (and no injuries, thankfully!) and dancing, oh and we can’t forget the delicious, self-catered food.

Posh Events and Jenny’s Florals were responsible for making the event custom tailored for Nancy and Jose’s style, and the event hall looked beautiful.

Nancy and Jose were the epitome of happiness on this night, and we wish them that throughout their lives together.
