Downtown Austin Bridal Shoot with Roxie

July 17, 2017 by Stacy Wells

We  had a wonderful time capturing Roxie’s Downtown Bridal shoot. We started at First Baptist Church in downtown Austin and then headed out for a classic Austin skyline Golden Hour Sunset.

Roxie out shined the candles during her Downtown Bridal session. Her happiness was glowing, and radiant as the sunset.

Roxie is a true Austinite. She grew up in South Austin, as some like to call the OG.

Roxie also grew up attending the First Baptist Church, in downtown Austin. Her father Doug Keenan has been the Minister of Pastoral Care for 20 years. It made perfect sense to capture her Bridal pictures at the church.

She looks absolutely stunning in this dress by Bonny Bridal, found locally at Melange Bridal.

Austin, the Music Capital of the world.  Roxie took this to heart, and is teaching music at Mills Elementary School.

Jon & Kim’s Downtown Austin Wedding

September 16, 2014 by Josh Baker

JonKimSocial-17

It’s been two weeks and we are still buzzing after this wedding. Saturday night rehearsal dinner with Two Tons of Steel at the Broken Spoke, followed by a Sunday ceremony at Trinity Hall and then onto The Parish for a reception with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers with lindy hopppers, Texas BBQ and a whole lotta love! You should see this couple move together on the dance floor and a good thing Kim is an endurance athlete because I don’t think she ever stopped dancing in her wedding dress and Chuck Taylors.

Congratulations Jonathan & Kim and may I recommend to the readers to listen to Two Ton’s of Steel’s Live at Gruene Hall or Roger Clyne’s Live at Billy Bob’s to get a small taste of this wedding weekends atmosphere while gazing at this energetic duo.

Josh loves a good adventure and some of his favorite wedding and engagement shoots have involved “getting crazy” or going somewhere special to the couple.

Josh is a Texas native and long time Pflugerville resident. He started his photography business in 2009 and has never looked back. His photo business even allowed him to be daddy-day-care before his two sons reached school age. Over the years his business has expanded to include just about every type of photography including automotive, editorial portraits, corporate events, sports and food. Through it all, he has continued to love wedding photography for genuine moment, the fast pace and the diversity of subjects it offers. Jennifer & Chris: Wedding from the Palm Door in Austin

January 20, 2014 by Josh Baker

Jennifer & Chris's Wedding from the Palm Door

Jennifer & Chris come to us from a referral from our Summer L.A. wedding couple Ashley & Andrew and it turns out that Jennifer and I met at Ashley’s wedding, and although we don’t remember,  I have photographic evidence. Now that you know how the bride and I came to know each other, let’s get on to the important topic which is the happiness I have seen on multiple occasions emanating from Chris and Jennifer in the way they look at each other, the way they hold each other and the way they are committed to each other. We are happy to offer photographic proof of their love for each other so that their grandkids can see the day that they announced their commitment to the world.

We were so happy to photograph this wedding at the Palm Door in Austin in a cozy venue that kept friends and family close to the couple all night. Some of the details that we loved. The most scientific table settings with the listing of native trees (including genus and species) to denote where people were to sit. I felt a little smarter just being there. We also loved the Texas Shoddish dance to Steve Earle’s “Copperhead Road”. Been a while since I have heard that much boot scootin’ and it reminded me of my own wedding a bit.

Congrats to the happy couple! Remember to leave them a congratulations in the comments!
