Katie & Sean became the Jackson family on Friday and we had the privilege of covering their beautiful wedding at Angel Springs Event Center in Georgetown. You might remember their Engagements from the blog , but if you don’t here is a quick refresher. Sean is active duty Army in the Air Artillery. I believe his words were, “I shoot 8 to 9 foot missiles”. That was enough to impress me. In a month’s time he is shipping off to Kuwait for a year. How is that for a honeymoon period? I can never stress enough how thankful I am for the sacrifices made by our military.
Katie and her bridesmaids had me giggling all during the getting ready portion. I don’t remember what caused this reaction, but all the gals started throwing their hands up. It might have been because we started singing Mrs. Jackson, but I can’t confirm that.
Sean and his boys were a little more subdued as they pinned on medals to their dress uniforms.
This was our first time photographing at Angel Springs and we liked the openness and versatility of the venue. Looking forward to covering more events here in the future. The way the sun sets behind the couple at ceremony time is a real nice touch.

Let’s talk about a few of the wedding details. The cake you see above was even more tasty than beautiful, it was a Homer Simpson “mmmmm. caaaakee.” made by Cakes by Rosemary.

Mark from Gobo Entertainment was there providing his dulcet tones on the DJ mic.

And the lovely flowers all over the venue provided by Bouquets of Austin
My second shooter, the eastern hemisphere to my western, the K to my J, Kaush from Biyani Photo.
Katie & Sean, congratulations on your nuptials, have a wonderful time on your Caribbean Cruise and thank you for sharing this day with us.
