Meet Ashley Erickson. She is a fellow Rogue Runner and freelance writer/social media expert in the fitness arena. We crossed paths a few times and decided that she really needed better head shots and action shots for her website and marketing materials. Portraits and Action? My favorites! We met up early at Northeast Metro Park in Pflugerville to showcase a bit of the running trails that loop throughout the park.
I also used this as a chance to try out the 11 inch sport reflectors from Paul Buff in use in portraits. I have used them in rodeo arena’s but this was my first chance to use them almost as a spot grid up close. Really like the tightness of the beam over the standard reflectors for outdoor use. Plus they just look beastly.
Played with a mix of long and short lenses as well, and during the session we were treated to a bit of a nice sunrise interspersed with light sprinkles. Ashley did her part in representing the colors of Oiselle Apparel by running the tried and trusted photoshoot workout of 200 x 10 meters. Much tougher than it looks.

Make sure and follow Ashley on Twitter for an entertaining read on fitness, running and current tv obsessions.
